Our Clinic Policies
Veterinary Appointments
We see our first appointments at 8:00am Monday through Friday, with surgeries in the mornings.
We require appointments. We do accept walk-ins, but your pet will have to wait to see a doctor until they can be worked into our scheduled appointments. We encourage you to call ahead as we may be in surgery or seeing previously-scheduled patients and your wait could be longer than you anticipate. We have arranged our hours to make it as convenient as possible for you to bring your pet in for routine and preventative check-ups. We schedule appointments so you have plenty of time for examinations and your questions. Sometimes emergencies can put us behind, so we hope you'll understand should an emergency interrupt or delay your appointment.
We are very aware that today, more than ever, people have busy schedules. For that reason, we invite you to drop off your pet in the morning between 8:00 and 8:30am for any of the services we provide and return to pick your pet between 2:00 and 4:00pm, unless other arrangements are made with our staff. Do not plan to pick up your pet unless you have talked to our staff about your pet's situation. A day hospitalization will be charged.
Small animal surgeries are performed every morning, and large animal surgeries are performed by appointment.
Permission to Treat
We are excited to treat your animals, but to do so legally, we need to first establish a Veterinary-Client-Patient-Relationship (See definition here: VCPR). We also require you sign a release form for any invasive procedures - especially those that require sedation.
Veterinary Hospital
For the safety and well-being of our patients, we require that all pets are kept on a leash or physically restrained while in the waiting room. We recommend a cat carrier for our feline patients. All pets admitted to the hospital should be current on their vaccinations.
If you have a dog that doesn't play well with others, please come inside and talk with our reception staff prior to bringing your dog into the clinic, so that we can have a room ready for you to bring the dog into.
Payment
We make every effort and are proud to deliver the best veterinary care possible. We accept cash, personal checks, debit card, VISA, MasterCard and Discover. We also do not have a pin machine to run debit cards, but have found that they generally run as credit.
